Game Overview

The fine art of picking a perfect team is entering its maturity.  Today Vald U. crossed swords with Grisha Rom.  Result was a very interesting scenario of concentration and mobilization of all recourses into several key spots.

Games was very equal, but score was entirely crooked and one-sided.  At one point we saw a 5:0 and even 8:1, but there were not a single dull moment on the field.  It was an all-out fight in an attmpt to make things right.   WHITEs have very many goal-worthy moments, but every time something would stand on their way.   Once Oleg saved a sure goal,  another time ball bounced from the post and  rolled the entire length of  the goal line.  Once Vadim was trying to score, but in reality it seamed as if he stopped the ball from going in.  Once again, a strange score was not from a luck of trying.  It was simply meant to be.

At the end, Grisha Rom. shared his thoughts.  He suggested that many players on his team were automatically expecting to win just by virtues of being picked into  always winning team.  And that did not exactly help.

Another unexpected find was a reliable and commonsensical play of Igor P., who appears once every blue moon, but he was holding at first left defenses for DARKs and later entered a full-time goalkeeping.

09:45 – 0:0 – BROWN – Start 11-on-10 0n a large filed and medium goals
10:01 – 0:1 Ilya B.  scores a very good looking goal on a second attempt (first hit the upper post) – long pass from Alex Grt
10:24 – 0:2 – Dr. Yurik – scores, but the whole teams gets the credit – Oleg to Seresha to Ilya B.
10:33 – 0:3 – Dr. Yurik – second goal – corner served from Fred
10:50 – 0:4 – Ilya B. was very persistent, and on the next shot he brushes the near post and into the net
10:57 – 0:5 – Vlad U. and Alex Grt were exchanging multiple passes untill Alex heard from Sergey that Ilya B. was completly open in from of the goals – Score!
11:14 – 0:6 – Oleg scored a goal on Bobby.  Bobby almost stopped the ball.  One of those “misfurtunate” goals
11:15 – 1:6 – Alex Z. – scores immediatly – he cought DARKs complety off guard – first WHITEs goal 90 minutes into the game
11:17 – 1:7 – Ilya L. pass and Ilya B. goal! – goal number 4 today and goal number 17 this season!
11:23 – 1:8 – Alex Grt – it was still an important goal because neither team was yet sure of the final result
11:34 – 2:8 – Bobby finally scores on Fred – the gane is finally over!
